After a long hard road of writing, editing, proofing and editing again; the trilogy outlining my decline (Channel of the Broken Gun), the dream world of active addiction (Angst), and the beginning of my recovery process (Head) are complete and published. To my surprise and great honor, an instructor at the University of Calgary read 'Channel of the Broken Gun' and has placed this book on the reading list for her Spring 2010 Introduction to Sociology course at the same university. I am very grateful to her for using my book and I hope that somehow someone can gain something from the material contained therein. I want to say thank you to her in as public a forum as possible, as well as thank my editor/proofer, and all of the friends who I did not know I had, who are spreading the word about my books. Thank you all for being a part of my life.

You're very welcome David! It was a no-brainer, really. It's an outstanding book and I think the students will definitely take something away from it, although what that will be, has yet to be determined ;) Hey, would you be up for an in-class Q&A, time permitting?

Thank YOU for writing those books and putting them out there for others to read. You are incredibly talented!

I read your first book, Channel of the Broken Gun. Your book was an eye-opener for me. Even though I have never been an addict, there are a few people in my family that are currently battling with drugs and alcohol. It’s very sad to see them this way. I never understood why they can’t or not willing find a way-out. Reading your book certainly help me understand somewhat the ‘world’ of an addict and I now realize it is not an easy way-out for some people but the hope is always there.

May God continue to give you wisdom and understanding and most of all peace as you continue with your recovery.

You’re amazing writer David! God has blessed you with this great gift. Keep on writing.
